Perfume has honestly become part of my personality at this point. Some scents make me feel more confident, some feel comforting, and others somehow make an ordinary day feel a little more special.
I’m also extremely picky when it comes to fragrances because I don’t just want a perfume that smells nice — I want something memorable, something that people randomly compliment hours later. Since perfumes can be such an investment, these are the scents that I genuinely keep reaching for and always get asked about.
Changing Constance by Penhaligon’s Eau de Parfum - $430 for 75ml
Out of every perfume I own, this is probably the closest thing I have to a signature scent. The moment I first smelled it, I immediately understood the obsession. It has this warm caramel and vanilla sweetness mixed with spicy notes that somehow makes the whole scent feel cozy, elegant, and addictive all at once. Whenever I wear this, I feel expensive in the best way possible. It reminds me of walking into a luxury café while holding a caramel latte and pretending life is perfectly together.
Orphéon by Diptyque Eau de Parfum - $266 for 75ml
This perfume feels incredibly clean, elegant, and effortlessly cool. It has that “your skin but better” type of vibe while still smelling unique enough that people notice it. I especially love wearing this when I want to smell fresh but still sophisticated. It’s the kind of scent that works beautifully both during the day and at night because it never feels too overpowering.
Rosa Damascena by Chloé Eau de Parfum - $210 for 50ml
This perfume is for anyone who simply wants to smell like fresh roses in the prettiest way possible. Unlike more complex floral perfumes, this one keeps the rose scent soft, clean, and romantic without becoming overly mature. Even though the scent profile feels simpler compared to my other perfumes, I still reach for this constantly because it’s so easy to wear. It lasts surprisingly well on my skin, and every time I wear it, someone always mentions how fresh and feminine I smell.
Libre by YSL Eau de Parfum - $192 for 50ml
Libre feels confident, bold, and slightly glamorous. Compared to the softer perfumes in my collection, this one definitely has more presence. The lavender mixed with warm vanilla gives it this balance between freshness and sensual warmth that makes it stand out immediately. Whenever I wear this, I feel more dressed up even if my outfit is simple. It’s the kind of perfume that works perfectly for dinners, events, or days when I want to feel extra confident.
I’ve realized over time that the perfumes people compliment the most are rarely the loudest ones. Usually, it’s the scents that match your personality so naturally that people start associating the smell with you. And honestly, finding a perfume that feels like “you” is probably one of the best feelings ever.
